At the beginning of our lesson nobody stood up, because there were two students in the class. Then
one of them said that we should stand up and we did it. Then we talked about food we eat for breakfast
and we got some worksheets about this subject. After that we listened to the text in our books on page
64. Then one of the students wrote out of the text all the words that are connected with food and later
translated them. Then we had to do exercise 1b, 1c and 2a in our books on pages 64 and 65. After that
another student gave us one more worksheet and we had to do it. Then we read it. For homework we
have exercise 2c in our books on page 65. We had a great time.

Today's English was very interesting. First we talked about food and where it comes from.
We drew a mind-set and divided the foods into two groups. The first group are the foods
that come from different animals like milk, eggs, fish etc. In the second group there is the
food that comes from plants like bread, apples, bananas, cereals etc. In the second part of
the class we talked about professions. We learned many new ones and we talked about
what we want to be when we grow up.

Friday, 11th January, History class
We started our class with greeting. Last class we were working in groups and writing reports about
Slovene economy in Yugoslavia. In today’s class we were presenting these reports to the whole class. We
got marks for them. Not all groups could present their reports because there wasn’t enough time. These
groups are going to present reports in the next History class. There was no homework. We had a great
time and we learnt something new!

Today I was picked for writing the blog about our English class. In today’s hours of English we
learned the names of cookware. In all four films, we had a lot to learn. We looked at four
movies, and copied the names of devices used for cooking. Some of them are: churn, spoon,
knife, garlic press, whisk, clever… We had a wonderful hour of English.

To be true, we haven't taken a lot of learning units in our book for the last three weeks. Our
teacher was on an important mission: we all needed marks. I learned for knowledge testing,
and we even wrote a test on the 28th of November. Each of us made a 6-minute presentation
in which we had to use all tenses that we have learned so far: Present Simple and Present
Continuous, Past Simple, Past Continuous, Present Perfect, and the Future Simple Tense with
“will” or “going to”. We chose different topics such as: sports, food, television, film, the past and
the future of mankind, etc. In each lesson of English we had 2 or 3 presentations. I wanted that
my presentation is bit different so I made it about the famous secret agent: James Bond. Most
of the presentations were quite interesting; although we heard some topics more times (the
boys in our class are big football enthusiasts).
