She told us the summary of the film and then she told us about the actors and actresses who act in this film. Both of them got the mark 4 for their work. Then teacher told us the final mark, that we will get in this year in English. After that we checked what we will do in this year at English lessons to the end of this year. The bell rang and all of us happily left the classroom. We had nothing for our homework. Klara, group 2 , class 9.b

The end of the year is near and we are collecting our last grades. Today three students had presentations. We learned that energy drinks are bad for our health and that they don’t really work. In the second presentation we learned how penicillin was made and who invented it and the history of computers. In the third presentation we hear a critic about the move What a girl wants. The presentations were good and interesting. Katarina, 9.a

Wednesday, April 3, English class

At the beginning of our class we got our exams back. The grades weren’t really bad, but they could be better. Many of us didn’t read the instructions carefully so we did some stupid mistakes. Then we listened to the text in our books on page one hundred and forty. Everyone got a piece of paper with one word and we should put it up when we heard it. We also did exercises two and three in our notebooks. Then we wrote down the instructions for expressing requests, possibilities, permissions and obligations. For our homework we have to finish exercise two and three, if we didn’t finish them in school and write the correction of the test. Klara, group 2 class 9

Today we had no classes. We were supposed to use this day to visit the high schools we want to sign in the next year. Many of us used the day well and visited two schools. Each school had a presentation and after that you could visit classrooms in which pupils showed you things they do. You could visit up to three schools, two today and one tomorrow. After you visit the chosen schools, you should think about them and decide which one was your favourite. I hope the choice won't be too hard. =) Katarina

At English lesson we were working in groups of three. Teacher said which sports we will describe. We wrote: or this activity performs outdoor or indoor, it’s this sport winter or summer sport and it’s this activity male or female sport. Later we described every sport detailed(rule, sport equipment…). It was interesting. Anja, 9.B

Today's English was very interesting. First we talked about food and where it comes from. We drew a mind-set and divided the foods into two groups. The first group are the foods that come from different animals like milk, eggs, fish etc. In the second group there is the food that comes from plants like bread, apples, bananas, cereals etc. In the second part of the class we talked about professions. We learned many new ones and we talked about what we want to be when we grow up. Katarina BizTalk, 9.a

Today I was picked for writing the blog about our English class. In today’s hours of English we learned the names of cookware. In all four films, we had a lot to learn. We looked at four movies, and copied the names of devices used for cooking. Some of them are: churn, spoon, knife, garlic press, whisk, clever… We had a wonderful hour of English. Kristina, 9.a

To be true, we haven't taken a lot of learning units in our book for the last three weeks. Our teacher was on an important mission: we all needed marks. I learned for knowledge testing, and we even wrote a test on the 28th of November. Each of us made a 6-minute presentation in which we had to use all tenses that we have learned so far: Present Simple and Present Continuous, Past Simple, Past Continuous, Present Perfect, and the Future Simple Tense with “will” or “going to”. We chose different topics such as: sports, food, television, film, the past and the future of mankind, etc. In each lesson of English we had 2 or 3 presentations. I wanted that my presentation is bit different so I made it about the famous secret agent: James Bond. Most of the presentations were quite interesting; although we heard some topics more times (the boys in our class are big football enthusiasts). Živa, 9.a
